Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026

These terms are a simple agreement between you and Upmood. By using the app you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

Using Upmood

AI can make mistakes

If you write how you feel, Upmood can use AI to suggest a mood, only if you allow it. The suggestion is a guess and may be wrong. You can always pick a mood yourself, and nothing in Upmood is a judgement about your health.

Not medical advice

Upmood offers gentle encouragement through quotes. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or therapist. If you are struggling or in crisis, please contact a mental health professional or your local emergency number.

Quotes and content

Quotes belong to the people who said or wrote them and are shown with attribution to inspire you. The app, its design, Moodle the cloud, and our own text belong to Upmood. You may use them for your personal use, including sharing a quote with its attribution, but not to copy or resell the app. If you believe a quote is shown improperly, tell us and we will review it.

Your account and data

You can delete your account in Settings › Delete account. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Service changes and availability

We work to keep Upmood available and accurate, but it is provided “as is”. We may change or discontinue features, and the service may occasionally be unavailable.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, Upmood is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from using the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the change is meaningful we will tell you in the app, and continued use means you accept the update.
